Edition 2025 — Licodiese Carnival

In 2025, the Licodiese Carnival – "Carnival Under the Tower, Melo Floresta Memorial" – took place in Santa Maria di Licodia (CT) on March 2 and 4, with the traditional parade of papier-mâché floats and masked groups through the historic center. The event, organized by the Municipality through a call for expressions of interest, confirmed the revival of the Etnean village's carnival tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Licodiese Carnival was held in Santa Maria di Licodia (province of Catania) on March 2 and 4, 2025. The Municipality, through a specific call for expressions of interest, selected the participating groups that enlivened the town with papier-mâché floats, masked groups, music, and dancing along the streets of the historic center, in the shadow of the Arab-Norman tower. The event confirmed the deep roots of the festival in the local calendar, following the tradition of the Melo Floresta Memorial.
