Edition 2025 — Li Ucci Festival

The fifteenth edition of the Li Ucci Festival took place in Cutrofiano from August 31 to September 6, 2025, with two off-events on September 21 and October 21. An intense week of pizzica and Salento folk music concerts, photographic exhibitions, book presentations, dance workshops, and tastings, all with free admission, to celebrate the memory of Uccio Aloisi and the singers of "Gli Ucci."

The fifteenth edition of the Li Ucci Festival took place in Cutrofiano (LE) from August 31 to September 6, 2025, with two off-events on September 21 and October 21. The festival, organized by Sud Ethnic APS under the direction of Antonio Melegari, offered a week of Salento folk music, meetings, exhibitions, and free-entry tastings.

Among the most anticipated moments were the concert by singer-songwriter Dalila Spagnolo, the evening dedicated to the winners of the Folk & World Award with Terrasonora Folk and Zimba ca te passa, the photographic exhibition "ITTÙ" on Grecìa Salentina, and the grand closing day at Masseria L'Astore with the Li Ucci Orkestra. On October 21, a special evening commemorated the fifteenth anniversary of Uccio Aloisi's passing.

Sunday, August 31

  • 9:00 AM — "Li Ucci by bicycle – No one excluded", departure from Piazza Municipio with music and tastings.

Monday, September 1

  • 8:00 PM — Inauguration of the photographic exhibition "ITTÙ – images and places of Grecìa Salentina" at Palazzo Filomarini (photos by Fabrizio Lecce and Paolo Laku).
  • 9:30 PM — Concert by Dalila Spagnolo.

Tuesday, September 2

  • 9:30 PM — Preview "Voci di Terra Nostra" with Italian folk songs and presentation of the Culture of Honor Award.

Wednesday, September 3

  • 9:00 PM — Presentation of the book "Morso d'amore. Journey into Salento tarantism" by Luigi Chiriatti.

Thursday, September 4

  • 9:30 PM — Piazza Cavallotti with the winners of the Folk & World Award: Terrasonora Folk and Zimba ca te passa.

Friday, September 5

  • 9:30 PM — Parco Sant'Antonio with Ghetto Child Sound System (guests: Raffaella Aprile, Kavita Soni, Mr. Bassie).

Saturday, September 6 — Masseria L'Astore

  • 12:00 PM — Picnic area opening.
  • 4:00 PM — Pizzica-pizzica workshop (by reservation).
  • 7:00 PM — Visits to the oil mill, AssaggiUcci food, and "Pineta in Musica".
  • 9:00 PM — Concert by the Li Ucci Orkestra with guests.
  • After show — DJ set by Cesare Dell'Anna.

Off-events

  • Sunday, September 21 — "The community social lunch" with Mino De Santis (Azienda Agricola Piccapane).
  • Tuesday, October 21 — Commemorative concert for the fifteenth anniversary of Uccio Aloisi's passing.

Highlights

The concert by Dalila Spagnolo, the Folk & World Award evening with Terrasonora Folk and Zimba ca te passa, the "ITTÙ" exhibition, and the final day at Masseria L'Astore with the Li Ucci Orkestra and Cesare Dell'Anna's DJ set.
