Let's Celebrate Dialect

The 2025 edition of the "Celebriamo il dialetto" review at the Giuseppe Verdi Theatre in Pollenza opened on Saturday, February 1st at 9:15 PM with "Lu vaùlle" by the theatre group La Nuova di Belmonte Piceno, text by Gabriele Mancini from an idea by Maria Calcinari.

The comedy, with its brilliant and engaging plot in the style of Italian-style comedy, told the story of a peasant family in the 1960s preparing the trousseau - "lu vaùlle", the trunk to be shown during the official visit of the groom's family - for their daughter Dilina, who was being courted by the elderly and wealthy Arcibaldo. A fresco of Marche rural life, blending traditions of the past with village humour, perfectly in line with the spirit of Pollenza's dialect review.
