Edition 2025 — Leonessa Carnival
The 2025 edition
On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Leonessa, in the province of Rieti, transformed into an explosion of floats, masks, and laughter. At 4:00 PM, the allegorical floats gathered at the Ex Bosi area, ready to set off for the grand parade through the village streets, featuring elaborate scenery and improbable characters.
The procession reached Piazza VII Aprile 1944, the porticoed heart of the town, where the party continued with entertainment for young and old. At 6:30 PM, the moment of truth arrived: the jury evaluated the competing floats and proclaimed the winner of the Leonessa Carnival.
The day concluded in a convivial atmosphere with a free buffet dinner at the Fra Alessandro Zanghieri Parish Theater and an evening masquerade party with music and dancing. The organization was handled by the Pro Loco together with the Municipality of Leonessa.
