Edition 2025 — Lentil Festival
The 53rd Lentil Festival (2025)
The fifty-third edition of the Lentil Festival was held on September 6 and 7, 2025, in the village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio (AQ), in the Gran Sasso National Park. The event combined the promotion of the Campo Imperatore lentil, a Slow Food Presidium, with a rich calendar of initiatives.
Saturday opened with a guided hike to Santa Maria ai Carboni and, in the afternoon, a seminar dedicated to the history and nutritional properties of the lentil, followed by the theatrical show "La botanica non è una cosa seria" and live music by "Gli Scordati". Sunday featured food stalls, a ludobus with artisanal games for children, and, in the evening, a performance by the Italia Star Orchestra. Throughout both days, the stalls served traditional lentil-based soups and dishes.

- 09:30 — Guided hike to Santa Maria ai Carboni (approx. 10 km, by reservation)
- 12:00 — Opening of food stalls
- 16:00 — Seminar on the history and nutritional properties of the lentil
- 17:30 — Theatrical show "La botanica non è una cosa seria"
- 19:00 — "Desidero", music and storytelling workshop
- 21:00 — Live music with Gli Scordati live band
