Edition 2025 — Legàmi

On August 15, 2025, engraver Paolo Ciampini, a reference figure in Tuscan graphic art and an adopted citizen of Palaia, passed away in Marti. His death marks the beginning of the project that the Municipality, together with the Museo della Grafica of Pisa and his family, will dedicate to his memory: the Legàmi exhibition and the birth of the Paolo Ciampini Foundation, later presented in the 2026 edition.

In 2025, the community of Palaia (PI) and the Tuscan art world bid farewell to Paolo Ciampini, who passed away on August 15. Born in Marti in 1941, a student of the Cascina Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he taught engraving techniques, he was considered one of the most refined contemporary Italian engravers.

His passing is the starting point for the tribute project that the Municipality of Palaia, in collaboration with the Museo della Grafica of Pisa and the artist's family, built in the following months: the Legàmi exhibition and the project for the Foundation named after him, which would see the light in June 2026.
