Lega di Ripoli Tournament

In 2025, the Lega di Ripoli Tournament reached its third edition, organized by the Associazione Culturale Contrada Alfiere with the patronage of the Municipality of Bagno a Ripoli. On Saturday, May 24, the Giardini ai Ponti hosted educational workshops for children (ancient writing, pottery, archery, and fencing) and falconry exhibitions, with an evening concert by Bardomagno, a folk-rock band beloved by history enthusiasts, at the central arena of the encampment. On Sunday, May 25, the event came to life with the historical cooking competition at noon and, in the afternoon, the blessing ceremony at the Pieve di San Pietro a Ripoli followed by the procession and the main competition between musicians and flag-wavers.
