Edition 2025 — Sweet Polenta Festival

In the 2025 edition, the Sweet Polenta Festival once again enlivened the church square of Le Piastre, in the Pistoia Mountains, during the carnival period. The stars were the chestnut flour specialties — sweet polenta, necci, and fritters — offered by the Pro Loco Le Piastre during a day of celebration for families and visitors, linked to a tradition now over two centuries old.

The 2025 edition of the Sweet Polenta Festival confirmed the carnival appointment in Le Piastre (Municipality of Pistoia). In the church square, the community gathered around the sweet polenta made from chestnut flour, necci, and fritters, the specialties that tell the story of the peasant cuisine of the Pistoia Mountains.

As per tradition, the festival organized by the Pro Loco Le Piastre combined gastronomy and carnival atmosphere, with the involvement of children, renewing a memory that dates back to 1769.
