Edition 2025 — Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano
22nd edition, 2025
The twenty-second edition of the Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano Awards was held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, hosted by Teresa Saponangelo alongside Antonio Bannò, with a special appearance by Claudia Gerini. The evening was dominated by Sarabanda by Roberto Andò, winner of five awards, including best direction, best set design, best lighting for Gianni Carluccio, and best music for Pasquale Scialò.
The award for best prose show went to King Lear, directed by Gabriele Lavia. Among the special awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Tullio Solenghi, the Maurizio Scaparro International Award to Argentine director Claudio Tolcachir, and the Italo Gemini Award, returning for the 80th anniversary of AGIS, to Mario Martone.
