Le Giornate del Cinema Muto

The 2025 edition, the 44th, confirmed the festival's international primacy: around a thousand accredited attendees from 41 countries (16% from the United States) and over 400 online subscribers from more than 30 nations. The program featured over 200 titles, including short and feature films, from 40 international archives.

Among the most applauded retrospectives were the section 'Six Degrees of Charlie' dedicated to Chaplin, Ukrainian children's cinema from 1924-1930, Belgian avant-garde, Max Fleischer's animation, and Japanese Paper Movies, as well as the regional focus on Liguria. Among the premieres was the MoMA restoration of Chaplin's 'Shoulder Arms'.
