Le Follie del Documentario

In 2025, Spazio Scena, in the heart of Trastevere, Rome, continued to cultivate its identity as an art-house cinema and a meeting place for cinephiles, carrying on the legacy of the legendary Filmstudio on Via degli Orti d'Alibert. Screenings, festivals, and presentations kept alive a tradition rooted in the history of independent cinema in the Capital.

It is within this context, in the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region, that Le Follie del Documentario took shape the following spring, the festival dedicated to non-fiction cinema curated by Steve Della Casa. 2025 therefore represents the prelude to a project that has permanently established auteur documentaries, filmmaker meetings, and film literature in one of the symbolic venues of Roman film culture.
