Edition 2025 — Le Danzatrici en plein air
2025 Edition: The body as living memory
The fifth edition of Le Danzatrici en plein air was held from June 5 to July 5, 2025, in Ruvo di Puglia, dedicated to the theme of the body as living memory, in dialogue with the famous Tomb of the Dancers. The program brought together around 20 companies and a hundred artists from Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Armenia, for over 50 events including 32 performances, 3 previews, and 13 national premieres.
The opening on June 5 featured OBEY#Logos, on the theme of the feminine and disobedience, and Sonate Bach by choreographer Virgilio Sieni. The schedule also included the national premiere of Punti di conTatto, co-produced with the Balletto Teatro di Torino. The festival was divided into the sections Scavi (artists under 35), Mitologie (productions), and Giacimenti (training), held between the former Dominican Convent, the Jatta National Archaeological Museum, and the spaces of the historic center.
