Edition 2025 — Costesi Lasagna Festival

The seventeenth edition took place in Costa di Mercato San Severino from August 20 to 25, 2025, with Piazza San Luigi Gonzaga once again at the heart of the festivities. Evenings of oven-baked lasagna and Costesi meatballs, with a renewed menu including sandwiches with pupacchielle, pork stew, eggplant meatballs, and cortecce with mushrooms, alternating with live music, sports competitions, children's games, and meetings on health and the environment. Local news reported a real boom in attendance.

The seventeenth edition

In 2025, the Lasagna and Costesi Meatballs Festival celebrated its seventeenth anniversary, from August 20 to 25, in Piazza San Luigi Gonzaga in Costa di Mercato San Severino, in the province of Salerno.

The menu

In addition to oven-baked lasagna and Costesi meatballs, the menu was enriched with sandwiches with pupacchielle, pork stew, eggplant meatballs, cortecce with mushrooms, french fries, fried fish, and desserts like sfogliatelle and zeppole.

The evenings

The calendar alternated between sports, music, and civic discussion: children's games, running races, tug-of-war between neighborhoods, dance and singing performances, and round-table discussions on topics such as environmental pollution and telemedicine. Local reports recorded very high attendance throughout the event, confirming the festival as one of the most popular summer events in the Irno Valley.

Programme

Thursday, August 21: children's games, «Donato Della Guardia» memorial running races, tug-of-war between neighborhoods, conference on environmental pollution caused by wars, and live music with Gli Spiantati. Friday, August 22: debate on telemedicine and new frontiers of modern medicine, with a concert by Luca Argenti to close the evening. On other days, food stalls were open every evening, with dance and singing performances. The full program for all evenings was not reported by the sources consulted.
