2025 Edition: the 18th Carnival Festival
The 18th edition of the Larderia Carnival Festival took place during the 2025 Carnival season, in Piazza Maria S.S. di Dinnammare, in the village of Larderia Inferiore in Messina, organized by the Selene Association.
In this edition too, the highlight was the homemade maccheroni with pork scuccidde sauce, kneaded by hand by the local women using the knitting needle, accompanied by sausage sandwiches, wine, honey, and typical sweets prepared by the village businesses.
Accompanying the celebration was the Carnival Village with masked parades in the streets of Larderia, entertainment, and music from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, in an atmosphere of great popular participation.
