Edition 2025 — Langa Cruda

During 2025, Sara Melis shaped the Langa Cruda project, personally collecting earth from Langhe vineyards for the Terroir series. In December 2025, the project was publicly announced by the local press, with the participation of a group of wineries across La Morra, Dogliani, Barbaresco, and the Alta Langa, in anticipation of the first exhibition scheduled for spring 2026.

The genesis of the Langa Cruda project

2025 was the year in which the artist Sara Melis developed the Langa Cruda project and the Terroir series, collecting raw earth from Langhe vineyards to transform it into living matter on her canvases. The wineries involved, located between La Morra, Dogliani, Barbaresco, and the Alta Langa, set aside a small quantity of soil from their rows, which was then collected personally by the artist. In December 2025, the project was presented by the local press, anticipating the Langa Cruda – Ontology of Matter exhibition scheduled in Monforte d'Alba for the spring of 2026.
