The 2025 winter season on the Salten

On February 1, 2025, the Salten plateau, above San Genesio Atesino/Jenesien, provided the backdrop for the traditional sled and skijoring race for Haflinger horses, in the Province of Bolzano. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the trials were held by age category, in front of an audience of enthusiasts. In the sled race for three-year-old fillies, Faustina HU, driven by Hubert Reiterer, took the win, while other local subjects also achieved notable placements in skijöring.

The edition confirmed the strong rooting of the event on the Salten plateau, a historic stage in the winter calendar of South Tyrolean Haflinger horses.
