Lama dei Peligni Sfogliatella Festival

The 24th edition of the Lama dei Peligni Sfogliatella Festival was held on April 25, 2025, in Piazza Umberto I. As every year, the village in the province of Chieti, at the foot of the Majella, paid tribute to its most famous pastry.

The event featured food stalls, roaming music, and the traditional 'La più buona fra le buone' competition, with a Slow Food jury tasked with awarding the best sfogliatella prepared by local families and pastry chefs. An opportunity to rediscover the century-old recipe based on grape and black cherry jam, cooked grape must, walnuts, and cocoa.
