Lakescapes – Diffused Theatre of Lake Maggiore

The 2025 edition of Lakescapes, the eleventh of the festival, counted fourteen diffused events on Lake Maggiore, including four new productions. In Lesa, in the province of Novara, on May 31, 2025, the Società Operaia hosted the inaugural show of the season: 'I promessi sposi on air', the "on air" version of Alessandro Manzoni's masterpiece signed by Accademia dei Folli. In the year of the show's tenth anniversary, the novel's characters came to life before their creator, in an ironic and contemporary reinterpretation enriched by a soundtrack of original songs about the adventures of Renzo and Lucia. The evening confirmed the bond between the festival and the municipality on the Piedmontese shore of the lake.
