Edition 2025 — Laga Rural Villages in Montorio al Vomano
The first stop in Montorio al Vomano: Villa Vallucci and Case Vernesi
The 2025 edition of the Laga Rural Villages Cultural Festival brought the event for the first time to Montorio al Vomano, in the province of Teramo, on Saturday, June 14, in the hamlets of Villa Vallucci and Case Vernesi. The morning was dedicated to a hiking walk that connected Villa Vallucci to the Church of the Madonna della Sgrima, one of the Marian sanctuaries in the area.
In the afternoon, the villages came alive with exhibitions of art, sculptures, and craft works, a gathering of vintage Fiat 500 cars, a mural created by local children, and entertainment spaces with traditional rituals. The day culminated in the evening with the torchlight procession of the Madonna della Sgrima. According to Roberto Gualandri, president of the organizing committee, the stage represented an initiative of active citizenship of the local Laga communities.
