Laceno d'Oro 50, the half-century edition

To celebrate the milestone of fifty editions, the festival extended its calendar to eleven days, from November 29 to December 9, 2025, involving not only the Cinema Eliseo but also the Irpinian Museum, the Provincial Library, the Bourbon Prison, and the Palace of Culture in Avellino.

Lifetime achievement awards went to Víctor Erice and Leos Carax, while the honorary «Pier Paolo Pasolini» award was given to Andrei Ujică, president of the international feature film jury: the festival dedicated a retrospective and a masterclass open to the public to each of them.

The main competition was won by «Eighty Plus» by Želimir Žilnik; «Lengua Muerta» by José Jiménez won in the Eyes on the City section, and «Case cadute» by Gianluca Abbate in Spazio Campania. The audience awarded «Je suis la nuit en plein midi» by Gaspard Hirschi and, for the Campanian section, «Lei» by Parsifal Reparato. The program also included workshops, book presentations, concerts, school screenings, and a childcare service during screenings, in addition to the live soundtracks that opened and closed the event.
