Laas Natural Track Luge World Cup

On the weekend of January 5-6, 2025, the Gafair natural track in Laas (Vinschgau Valley, Province of Bolzano) welcomed a stage of the FIL Natural Track Luge World Cup, considered the final major dress rehearsal before the World Championships in Kühtai, Austria.

On Sunday, January 5, after the morning training sessions, the doubles race took place: victory went to the Austrian pair Maximilian Pichler / Nico Edlinger, the first Austrian triumph in doubles on the Gafair track, ahead of brothers Matthias and Peter Lambacher and the Italian duo Tobias Paur / Andreas Hofer. On Monday, January 6, the men's and women's singles were held, followed by award ceremonies, in a weekend that confirmed the Gafair track as a benchmark on the international circuit.
