2025 Edition
The fourth edition of the La Velletrana vintage cycling event took place on Sunday, July 6, 2025, organized by the Avis of Velletri as part of the 'Estate Veliterna' summer program. It served as the sixth stage of the Giro delle Regioni – Le Ciclostoriche, the circuit spanning Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, and Puglia. Approximately 180 cyclists set off from Piazza Garibaldi, greeted by the performance of the Sbandieratori e Musici Città di Velletri, with Mayor Ascanio Cascella starting with bib number 1. Two routes were offered, with names linked to the world of blood donation: the 50 km 'Sangue intero' (Whole Blood) and the 30 km 'Plasma', featuring refreshment stops among vineyards and farmhouses—from the Colle di Maggio estate to the Cantina Ciccariello, and from Lake Giulianello to Casale Battista—serving bruschetta, porchetta, artisanal ricotta, and local wine. The arrival at the PalaBandinelli concluded the day with a commemorative medal and a pasta party for everyone.
