La Vela Streetball

The 2025 edition, titled La Vela Streetball 3.0, took place from Thursday, June 12, to Sunday, June 15, at the outdoor area of La Vela Margherita Hack in Avane, Empoli. Thursday and Friday activities began in the afternoon (from 4:00 PM), while on Saturday and Sunday, the tournament occupied the entire day starting from the morning.

The 3x3 basketball tournament, organized by USE Basket together with other local associations and the Avane Youth Center, welcomed teams of various categories as part of the Social Sport project, designed to introduce young people to the sport. In 2025, there was no shortage of food stalls in collaboration with local businesses and live music entertainment, all under municipal ordinance no. 248, which prohibited glass, cans, and sprays within the event area.
