La Transumanza

The first edition of La Transumanza in Monte Cavallo, in June 2025, revived the ancient rite of the flocks' journey through the Monti Sibillini. The route included a first stage of about 14 km from Pontelatrave to Rote di Valle Sant'Angelo and a second stage of about 10 km along the trails to Collattoni, the final destination. Participants took part in pastoral life activities - organizing the flock, marking sheep, shearing, milking, and cheese making - in an immersive experience between nature and tradition.

Despite an expected twenty participants, about fifty people showed up for the event: adults, children, families, and seniors. The organization was handled by the local group, with the involvement of regional breeders, marking a success that paved the way for the 2026 edition.
