Edition 2025 — La Speata
La Speata 2025: the 28th edition
The 2025 edition of La Speata was held on Sunday, August 3, confirming the event's classic formula: meeting from 8:00 AM in Contrada Montore, starting at 9:30 AM, and finishing at Monte Livata after 12 kilometers of uninterrupted climbing, from the 882 meters of the start to the 1,357 meters of the plateau. The 28th edition, serving as the 23rd Franco Ciaffi Trophy, was organized by the Gruppo Marciatori Simbruini with the patronage of the Municipality of Subiaco and the support of the Lazio Region, with the Subiaco–Monte Livata provincial road closed to traffic for the entire duration of the race.
As per tradition, the race attracted runners and clubs from across the region: three refreshment and sponge stations at km 3, 6, and 9, chip timing, a 120-minute time limit, and awards for overall winners, categories, and teams, with the Remo Renzetti Trophy for the largest team and the AVIS Trophy dedicated to blood donors. An edition that renewed the bond between the Subiaco summer and its most famous climb.
