Edition 2025 — La Rocca delle Streghe
Rocca Canterano and the 2025 Epiphany
The theme that led to La Rocca delle Streghe is rooted in the Epiphany tradition of the Apennine villages of Lazio, where the figure of the Befana coexists with the older and more ambiguous figure of the witch. In Rocca Canterano, a mountain municipality in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, the period between the end of December and the first days of January is traditionally dedicated to initiatives promoted by the Municipality and local associations to animate the historic center during the cold season.
The details of the program for the early January 2025 days are not documented by the official sources currently available: the Municipality's communication focuses on the following edition. The spirit of the event and its structure remain unchanged, based on the participation of the inhabitants, the opening of houses and cellars, and the promotion of Monti Ruffi products.
