About La Puglia che ti piglia

In March, Muggiò transforms into a corner of Puglia with 'La Puglia che ti piglia', the travelling village that brings the flavours and atmospheres of the South to Brianza. Piazza Matteotti is adorned with reconstructed trulli, olive trees, and Pugliese fairy lights, while the stands serve orecchiette, bombette, and craft beers to the rhythm of pizzica. A street food and music festival organised by Tipico Eventi, with free admission.

Puglia Arrives in Brianza

For a weekend in March, Muggiò — a municipality in the Province of Monza and Brianza — transforms into a small Pugliese village. La Puglia che ti piglia is the travelling village, organised by Tipico Eventi in collaboration with the Municipality, which brings the colours, flavours, and sounds of Salento and all of Puglia to Piazza Matteotti.

Trulli, Fairy Lights, and Southern Cuisine

The square is themed with trulli-shaped structures, olive trees, and characteristic Pugliese fairy lights, recreating the atmosphere of Southern patronal feasts. The food stands offer signature dishes of Pugliese cuisine — from orecchiette to bombette — accompanied by craft beers and street food specialities. It's a journey into taste that introduces Brianza residents to the agricultural and maritime roots of Puglia.

To the Rhythm of Pizzica

The soundtrack to the festival is pizzica, the exhilarating folk dance from Salento, featured in live concerts that liven up the evenings and involve the public. With free admission and open to the entire community, La Puglia che ti piglia is now an anticipated event in the Muggiò calendar, capable of combining the promotion of Southern traditions with the pleasure of a public festival in the heart of Brianza.

La Puglia che ti piglia — edition 2026

'La Puglia che ti piglia' returns to Muggiò from March 13 to 15, 2026, in Piazza Matteotti: reconstructed trulli, Pugliese fairy lights, typical cuisine with orecchiette and bombette, craft beers, and pizzica concerts, organised by Tipico Eventi. Free admission.

In 2026, the Pugliese village La Puglia che ti piglia will animate Muggiò from March 13 to 15. Piazza Matteotti will be transformed with trulli, olive trees, and Pugliese fairy lights, while the stands will offer signature dishes of Southern cuisine — orecchiette, bombette — and craft beers, to the rhythm of pizzica concerts. The event, organised by Tipico Eventi with the Municipality of Muggiò and with free admission, will be held.
