Edition 2025 — La Pezzata

The 59th edition of La Pezzata di Capracotta took place on Sunday, August 3, 2025, on the Prato Gentile plateau, featuring the traditional boiled sheep with aromatic herbs, grilled lamb, and thousands of visitors who came to the mountains for the day of welcome.

On August 3, 2025, the Prato Gentile plateau hosted the 59th edition of La Pezzata di Capracotta. From the morning, with an info point and distribution of traditional tableware, to the 11:00 AM mass and the distribution of the pezzata, the plateau filled with thousands of people who came from all over Molise and neighboring regions. The boiled sheep with aromatic herbs and the grilled lamb, prepared according to the ancient shepherds' recipe, confirmed the festival as one of the most beloved summer events in Alto Molise.

Programme

2025 Program (Prato Gentile): area opening and info point from 9:00 AM, mass on the plateau at 11:00 AM, distribution of pezzata and grilled lamb, music and conviviality until evening.
