Edition 2025 — 'Ntorcia di San Martino
The 2025 edition of the 'Ntorcia di Sant Martine took place in early May, confirming the appointment with the traditional nocturnal pilgrimage from Atessa to Fara San Martino. In 2025, the faithful once again walked the ancient path carrying the 'ndorce in honor of Saint Martin the Hermit, following a centuries-old rite of the Maggio Atessano.
In 2025, the 'Ntorcia di Sant Martine renewed its centuries-old tradition in Atessa, in the province of Chieti. Pilgrims departed in the heart of the night from the Cathedral of San Leucio to reach the Vallone di Santo Spirito in Fara San Martino, offering the 'ndorce to Saint Martin the Hermit. The edition was part of the Maggio Atessano calendar, confirming the vitality of one of the most distinctive devotional rites in Abruzzo.
