La Notte della Taranta - Ugento Stage

The Ugento stop of the La Notte della Taranta Traveling Festival took place on August 11, 2025, an edition dedicated to the theme "Plurals". The free event brought Piazza Duomo to life starting at 8:30 PM.

The evening opened with the Dance School, with Taranta dancers guiding the audience in learning the steps of the Salento dance. Then, I Calanti took the stage, a group of five musicians and two pairs of dancers, mostly from the Colitti family of Ugento, guardians of a family musical tradition. The night concluded with a concert by Alla Bua, touring with their tenth album "Dieci", released in May 2025.

In 2025, the Ugento stop once again confirmed the strong bond between the town of Ugento, Salento, and its musical and choreographic tradition, drawing families, young people, and visitors to the square.
