La Notte della Taranta – Nardò Stop

The 2025 Nardò stop took place on Friday, August 8, on Via Grassi in the historic center, starting at 8:30 PM. The evening opened with a dance workshop led by the Taranta dancers, who engaged the public in learning the steps of the Salento pizzica.

The highlight of the evening was the 47Soul collective, a Palestinian shamstep band that brought their Mediterranean and Middle Eastern sounds to the Nardò stage, featuring guest artist Claudio "Cavallo" Giagnotti. The pizzica group Scazzacatarante also performed, creating a celebration that blended Salento tradition with Mediterranean influences. The free event also included a guided tour of the historic center, making it one of the most well-attended evenings of the Traveling Festival.
