La Notte della Taranta – Galatina Stage

The Galatina stage of the 2025 edition, titled "Plurali", took place on Monday, August 18, in Piazza Dante Alighieri starting at 8:30 PM. The evening opened with the Taranta Village, where Biagio and Lorenzo Panico led a tambourine demonstration-workshop, and the dance school run by the Taranta dancers, where participants learned the steps of the pizzica together.

Following this, the Tarantarte Company performed the show TÀRAN – Tarante d'Amore di Lotta di Euforia di Trance, inspired by research into the ritual of folk dance as "symbolic medicine." The grand finale was entrusted to the concert by the Antonio Amato Ensemble, one of the most authoritative and intense voices of the Salento musical tradition, led by the singer and tambourine player Antonio Amato. The event, with free admission, enlivened the historic center of Galatina until late at night.
