La Notte della Taranta - Alessano Stage

The Alessano stage concluded the long journey of the Itinerant Festival of La Notte della Taranta on August 29, 2025, an edition dedicated to the theme "Plurali". The free event took place in Piazza Castello starting at 8:30 PM.

The evening opened with the Dance School, with Taranta dancers guiding the public in learning the fundamental steps of the Salento dance. Then, the Taranta Project took the stage, an ensemble of 23 musicians and vocalists accompanied by dancers, in a show that intertwines popular memory, classical music, rap, and jazz. The night concluded with the concert of Jonica Popolare, a group of multi-instrumentalists born in Galatina in 2015, on tour with their new album "Divergenze".

In 2025, the Alessano stage once again confirmed the strong bond between the Municipality of Alessano, Salento, and its musical tradition, drawing families, young people, and visitors to the square.
