La Notte della Tammorra

In 2025, La Notte della Tammorra changed its setting compared to recent editions, bringing the Campanian folk music festival to Piazza Mercato, one of Naples' historic squares, from July 1 to 5.

The program of the 23rd edition, curated by Carlo Faiello, alternated between study and performance: free folk dance and frame drum workshops at the Church of Santa Croce e Purgatorio al Mercato, the conference "Tarantella in the form of a rose" on July 3 with anthropologists and ethnomusicologists, and finally the two concerts on July 4 and 5 with Serena Rossi, Peppe Barra, the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Ars Nova Napoli, and traditional Campanian paranze.

The edition confirmed the formula that has characterized the festival for over twenty years: not just concerts, but a true cultural laboratory that connects the peasant and devotional repertoire of Campania with the contemporary music scene, under the promotion of the City of Naples.
