La Notte della Cuccuascia

Third edition — August 12, 2025

On August 12, 2025, La Notte della Cuccuascia brought the Villa Planetaria of San Cassiano to life with its third edition, organized by the Municipal Administration together with Masseria Torcito and the Rinascita Social Cooperative.

The evening opened at 7:30 PM with a cargo bike tour led by the mayor to discover the most hidden corners of the town. In the park, the star of the show was the "Terrazza tra la Natura", a net structure suspended between the trees for climbing and lying down to watch the sky. The public was accompanied by acrobats, stilt walkers, jugglers, and clowns, light installations such as "The Bright Side of the Moon" and "Mother Earth", a sound experience with the sounds of nature and nocturnal wildlife, and astronomical observation guided by the Gruppo Astrofili Salentini. A kiosk provided refreshments from dinner to breakfast, while those who wished could stay and camp to wait for dawn. Free admission.

August 12, 2025 — from dusk till dawn

• Performances by street artists and circus performers: acrobats, stilt walkers, jugglers, and clowns
• Path of light installations ("The Bright Side of the Moon", "Mother Earth")
• Sound experience with natural soundscapes and nocturnal wildlife sounds
• Astronomical observation guided by the Gruppo Astrofili Salentini (GAS)
• Kiosk with refreshments open from dinner until breakfast
• Possibility of camping to wait for dawn
