Edition 2025 — La Manifestival

The first edition of La Manifestival took place from October 10 to 12, 2025, in Garbatella, Rome, under the title "The World in the Time of Gaza." Three days of meetings, exhibitions, music, and theater promoted by the daily newspaper il manifesto, featuring international guests such as Jeremy Corbyn, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Irene Montero, and Jan van Aken. All events were free of charge.

La Manifestival 2025, the inaugural edition

The first edition of La Manifestival brought Garbatella to life from October 10 to 12, 2025, under the title «The World in the Time of Gaza». The festival of the daily newspaper il manifesto brought debates on war, migration, and social justice to the streets of the Roman neighborhood, alongside exhibitions, concerts, and performances.

Among the international guests during the three days were Jeremy Corbyn, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Irene Montero, and Jan van Aken. The musical section ManiFeste! featured a concert by Giancane with illustrations by Maicol&Mirco, a live performance by Lili Refrain, and DJ sets by Malafama, Marco Boccitto, Don Pasta, and La Diferencia. Significant space was given to exhibitions, including posters inspired by the newspaper's archives, original plates on the themes of war and peace, and posters dedicated to the editorials of Luigi Pintor. Workshops for children curated by cartoonist Maicol&Mirco were also a highlight.

Programme

Friday, October 10: concert by Giancane with illustrations by Maicol&Mirco (9:30 PM), DJ sets by Malafama, Marco Boccitto, Don Pasta, and La Diferencia (11:00 PM); workshop for children «Let's leave the children in peace». Saturday, October 11: concert by Lili Refrain (9:30 PM); workshop for children. Throughout the three days: meetings and debates with international guests (Jeremy Corbyn, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Irene Montero, Jan van Aken) and exhibitions «Archivio manifesto reloaded», «Facciamo pace?», and «Luigi Pintor 25».
