The thirteenth edition of La Leggendaria Charly Gaul confirmed the allure of the Monte Bondone granfondo. On the long 141 km route with 4,000 meters of elevation gain, featuring the double climb of the Bondone, victory went to Fabio Cini, who finished in 4h25'38", ahead of Stefano Cecchini (winner of the previous year) and Enrico Zen. In the women's race, Jessica Leonardi from Trento won in 5h12'56", ahead of Barbara Lancioni and the Slovenian Erika Jesenko. The event, part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, attracted amateur cyclists from all over Europe to Trento, confirming Monte Bondone as one of the most challenging and beloved finish lines in Italian granfondo cycling.
