Edition 2025 — La Gnaga
In 2025 too, Fornesighe experienced La Gnaga, the archaic masquerade of Val di Zoldo: the exhibition of the competing wooden masks and the Sunday parade of the Matazin and the Gnaga enlivened the Dolomite village on the first weekend of February.
The 2025 edition of La Gnaga di Fornesighe took place on the first weekend of February, confirming one of the most archaic carnivals in the Dolomites.
The village hosted the exhibition of wooden masks carved by wood artists and the traditional Sunday parade led by the Matazin, with the ritual figures of the Gnaga, the wet nurse, and the wedding procession, in a rite of passage from winter to spring curated by the Piodech Zoldan Cultural Association.
