Ghironda Summer Festival 2025 in Martina Franca

The 28th edition of the festival brought the final evenings of the tour to Martina Franca, in the province of Taranto, scheduled for Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th, 2025, following the first two days in Ceglie Messapica (September 4-5). The city's historic center hosted ten performance spots, including Piazza XX Settembre, Piazza Roma, Piazza Plebiscito, Piazza Immacolata, Largo San Giovanni, the San Domenico Cloister, and Corso Italia.

The overall festival lineup featured nearly 140 performances with artists from 13 countries—the United States, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Peru, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Congo, and Italy. In Martina Franca, the public enjoyed, among others, the South American rhythms of Marben and the Mariachis Tequileros, the Irish music of the Strawboys, and reggae, rockabilly, and folk-rock sounds, alongside shows by the magician Daigoro, puppeteer Alex Piras, fire-eater Simone Antonaci, and acrobat Gali. The evenings, with free admission, began at 7:30 PM, with shows suitable for children. The event, conceived by Giovanni Marangi for the La Ghironda association, was supported by the municipal administration of Martina Franca, which welcomed the festival's return after many years of absence.
