La Festa del Rinascimento di Acquasparta

The 2025 edition of the Renaissance Festival of Acquasparta confirmed the formula that has made the reenactment famous in southern Umbria. The village once again donned 17th-century attire for two weeks, with costumed figures, artisan shops, and period taverns lining the historic centre.

The program included the traditional Great Parade of the Districts at the opening, the gastronomic competition featuring 17th-century dishes, theatre challenges based on texts from before 1630, and the living Game of the Goose. The three districts – San Cristoforo, Porta Vecchia, and Il Ghetto – vied for victory in a series of trials that involved the entire community of Acquasparta, in the province of Terni.
