Edition 2025 — An Unexpected Easter Monday

In 2025, La Contea Gentile in Bucchianico once again celebrated An Unexpected Easter Monday on Easter Monday, transforming the holiday outing into an immersive day in Middle-earth. Between hobbit houses, ancient games, tabletop and role-playing games, horses, live music, and convivial banquets, the event confirmed the strong appeal of the Tolkien-inspired Abruzzo village.

In 2025, An Unexpected Easter Monday returned to La Contea Gentile in Bucchianico, in the province of Chieti, on Easter Monday. The village inspired by Middle-earth welcomed visitors for a day filled with ancient games and crafts, tabletop and role-playing games, horseback riding, and live music, along with food stalls and artisan markets. Amidst chocolate eggs and bunnies, guests shared a typical spring lunch in the shade of the ancient oak tree.
