Edition 2025 — La civetta sul pozzo
The first edition of the La civetta sul pozzo festival inaugurated a new cultural appointment for Sternatia in 2025, in the evocative cloister of the Dominican Convent. On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 8:00 PM, the novel "6957. Germogli sotto la neve" by Alice Beatrice Pescarollo (Lab DFG, 2024) was presented, the narrative debut of a very young author born in Rome in 2006. The book tells a story of love and hope set in Auschwitz, between the deportation of Myriam Zaccaria and an unexpected bond with an SS officer.
The evening, moderated by Deputy Mayor Marta Martina with greetings from Mayor Gabriele Candito, featured speeches by journalist Silvia Cazzato and school principal Prof. Pantaleo Conte. The success of this first edition encouraged the Municipal Administration to propose the festival again the following summer.
