Edition 2025 — La Città dei Lettori
Eighth edition: rethinking the classics
The eighth edition of La Città dei Lettori, scheduled from June 4th to 8th, 2025, at Villa Bardini, had as its leitmotif the theme of literary classics, an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the roots of thought. Over one hundred guests enlivened five days of free meetings.
Guests and program
Among the protagonists: Roberto Saviano, Beppe Severgnini, Vera Gheno, Paolo Nori, Ascanio Celestini, Fabio Genovesi, Francesco Piccolo, Ilide Carmignani, and Omar El Akkad. On June 4th, the Premio La Città dei Lettori was awarded by the Unicoop Firenze reading circles, while on June 6th, the conversation with the Premio Strega finalists took place, accessible in LIS (Italian Sign Language). There were also sunrise yoga sessions and a section dedicated to young readers with workshops and animated readings.
