Edition 2025 — La Città che ci Abita

The first edition of La Città che ci Abita took place in Rome from October 3 to 5, 2025, in the Municipio XV district along the Via Cassia. Three days of screenings, a short film competition, and discussions explored the identity of the Capital and its urban transformations, featuring guests from the Italian film industry and a competition dedicated to young filmmakers. Admission was free.

The first edition of the festival was held in Rome from October 3 to 5, 2025, in the Municipio XV, featuring screenings and talks dedicated to the cinematic storytelling of the city. The program opened with the film Familia by Francesco Costabile, presented with actor Francesco Di Leva and journalist Boris Sollazzo. The second day featured L'odore della notte by Claudio Caligari, with writer Giordano Meacci. Sunday, dedicated to the short film competition awards, saw the presentation of the Gaetano Di Vaio Award and the Sguardo Vivo Award, along with the screening of Nessuno è innocente by Toni D'Angelo and the preview of the docufilm Nino. 18 Giorni. All events were free of charge.

Programme

Friday, October 3: Opening, first short films in competition, and screening of "Familia" by Francesco Costabile, with Francesco Di Leva interviewed by Boris Sollazzo. Saturday, October 4: New shorts in competition and "L'odore della notte" by Claudio Caligari, with writer Giordano Meacci. Sunday, October 5: Short film awards ceremony (Gaetano Di Vaio Award and Sguardo Vivo Award), screening of "Nessuno è innocente" by Toni D'Angelo, preview of the docufilm "Nino. 18 Giorni", and special screenings of "Sotto casa" by Alessio Lauria and "Nero apparente" by Giuseppe Pizzo.
