L'Artaru di San Giuseppe

The 2025 edition of the Artaru di San Giuseppe in Campofiorito confirmed the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in the community's identity. In the Regina Elena former public washhouse, devotees set up the monumental altar with characteristic votive breads, embroidered tablecloths, and laurel branches around the image of the Patriarch.

On March 19th, St. Joseph's Day, the statue was carried in procession through the village streets accompanied by the brass band; in the afternoon, folk games took place, and in the evening, the celebration continued with music and fireworks, in an atmosphere of faith and conviviality typical of inland Sicily.
