Edition 2025 — L'Arrosticcere in Piazza

In 2025, L'Arrosticcere in Piazza confirmed its growth by going beyond the borders of Civitaquana: the L'Arrosticcere in Piazza APS association signed a brotherhood pact with the Molise municipality of Petacciato, bringing the re-enactment of the primitive arrosticini cooking method and Abruzzo traditions to Molise as well. In Civitaquana, the event remained faithful to its usual September slot in the village's historic center.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of L'Arrosticcere in Piazza marked an important milestone in the history of the event. In addition to the gathering in the historic center of Civitaquana, in the province of Pescara, the L'Arrosticcere in Piazza APS association signed a brotherhood pact with the municipality of Petacciato, in Molise, turning the arrosticino into a true cultural bridge between the two communities.

The re-enactment of the primitive arrosticini cooking method, the tasting of local products, folk music, and traditional games confirmed the identity-driven character of the event, which continues to tell the story of the rural origins of the Abruzzo arrosticino immortalized in the famous 1930 photograph.
