Edition 2025 — L'Aquila Half Marathon
The race in the heart of L'Aquila
The L'Aquila City of the World Half Marathon features its signature 21.097 km course in the historic center of the Abruzzo capital, certified by FIDAL. The route, which alternates between asphalt and dirt roads with challenging climbs, touches the city's iconic monuments and post-earthquake reconstruction sites, offering views of the Gran Sasso. Alongside the competitive race, the event hosts a 4x5 km relay, a 5 km non-competitive run, and a fun run/walk, starting at 9:30 AM from the Villa Comunale area. Organized by ASD Atleticom with the support of the Municipality of L'Aquila and the Abruzzo Region, the event attracts runners from all over Italy.
