L'Altrocarnevale 2025
On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the village of Ferla, in the Iblei Mountains in the province of Syracuse, celebrated Carnival with L'Altrocarnevale. The masked parade, sponsored by the Municipality of Ferla, wound through the streets of the historic center with costumes, masked groups, and music, involving both adults and children in a day of popular celebration in the heart of the Val di Noto.
As per tradition, the event drew families and visitors along the streets of the Baroque town, confirming itself as one of the most cherished appointments in the Ferla winter calendar. Against the backdrop of the late-Baroque palaces and churches of the "Gateway to Pantalica," the community gathered to share in the joy of Carnival, in a village also known for its connection to the nearby UNESCO-listed Necropolis of Pantalica.
