Kirchtagsfest of the "Graf Volkmar" Schützen Company in Burgstall

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Burgstall celebrated the traditional Burgstall Kirchtag, the patronal festival organized by the Schützenkompanie "Graf Volkmar von Burgstall" on the day of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

The day began early in the morning with the gathering of riflemen, flag bearers, and musicians, the procession to the parish church, and the solemn mass. At the end of the service, the Burgstaller Goaßlschnöller and the folk dance group in traditional costume performed on the church square.

The festival then continued at the Waldfestplatz, the forest square along the Kirchweg, with a concert by the Musikkapelle Burgstall, entertainment music, and South Tyrolean culinary specialties, including grilled dishes, desserts, and coffee, in a community festive atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean Kirchtags.
