Kirchtag in Oberolang (Valdaora di Sopra Patronal Festival)

The 2025 Kirchtag of Valdaora di Sopra

The 2025 edition of the Kirchtag in Oberolang renewed the tradition of the patronal festival of the village of Valdaora di Sopra, in the municipality of Valdaora (Olang), province of Bolzano. As every year, the festival was held on the first weekend of October, with a solemn mass in the church of Saints Peter and Agnes, the traditional procession along the village streets, and the accompaniment of the Valdaora brass bands.

The festival, linked to the period of harvest thanksgiving (Erntedank), offered residents of the districts and visitors a moment of gathering dedicated to the living traditions of South Tyrol, amidst music, South Tyrolean culinary specialties, and the autumnal atmosphere of the Puster Valley at the foot of Plan de Corones.
